The "spouse special" offer of Air India lets the wife fly free along with her husband or vice-versa
This scheme will be valid for travel up to 31st Dec 2010. PSF/UDF would be required to be paid on the free ticket. Passengers availing of this scheme will not be entitled to upgrades.
Passengers travelling on Full business Class Fare can now take accompanying Spouse/Child/Parents free of cost in the same class and flight while travelling on domestic sectors of Air India.
On domestic sectors, passengers buying a full fare ticket in EYCL (RBD 'Y') will be entitled to a complimentary domestic ticket in RBD 'G'- valid for 3 months - for their family (spouse/child/parents).
Period of Application
Sale and travel up to 31st Dec 2010.
Fares
Full Executive Class fare to be collected from one passenger. Accompanying Spouse/Child/Parent: No Basic Fare / Fuel Surcharge to be collected. However applicable PSF/UDF would be required to be paid.
Tickets issued under the scheme would not be combined with any other fare types.
Cancellation/Refund
Refund Administration Fee of Rs.100 would be applicable on the full fare ticket while the Spouse/Child/Parent ticket would attract no RAF at the time of refund. Both Full fare ticket and the accompanying Spouse/Child/Parent ticket to be cancelled together.
Re-booking
Change of reservation upto1hour prior to departure would attract no cancellation charge. Booking cancelled within 1hour of departure would be treated as no-show. 100% cancellation charges would be levied on the paid ticket. Both Full fare ticket and the accompanying Spouse/Child/Parent ticket to be re-booked together.
Re-Routing
Permitted provided both the Full fare paying passenger and the accompanying Spouse/Child/Parent tickets are presented together for similar re-routing.

Ticketing
Tickets to be purchased together. Cross reference of the Companion ticket would be made on the full fare ticket and v.v. with the remark "Accompanying Spouse/Child/Parent” on both the full fare as well as on free ticket. Tickets will be marked non-endorsable and valid on Air India only. Both the bookings to be made in the same PNR. A Signed Declaration from the passenger indicating Name of Spouse/Child/Parent will suffice for ticketing purpose and this record must be kept by all concerned offices.
