British Airways offer direct flight to London Heathrow Airport from Washington Dulles International Airport leaving at 8:40 a.m., bolstering its daily schedule from LHR to IAD to three flights a day.
The BA morning flight will be operated by Boeing 777 200ER aircraft in four-class configuration: 14 First class seats, 48 Club World business class seats, 40 World Traveller Plus premium economy class seats and 122 World Traveller seats.
The morning flight to London, BA224, departs IAD at 8:40 a.m. and arrives at London Heathrow Airport at 9 p.m. The return westbound service, BA225,departs LHR at 7 p.m. and arrives at Dulles at 10:05 p.m.
All Dulles flights feature British Airways business class flat bed seat equipped with laptop power port and telephone plus 18 channels of in-flight entertainment featuring current hit movies, classic films and popular news, sports and comedy programs from UK and US television.business class passenger enjoy tasty inflight meals and amenity kits.
"The airline's expanded schedule features the earliest daily departure from Washington to London, permitting passengers to work or rest on the daylight flight, arriving in London in plenty of time for a full night's sleep," said Derrick Surratt, Regional Director of Sales, Southeast for British Airways. "Our research has shown that many business travelers headed for the Middle East, Africa, the Far East or Australia, prefer to break their journey with a good night's sleep in London before proceeding onwards."
BA Also offer an evening return service to Washington from London enabling travelers to enjoy a full day in London and catch the last flight of the day to Dulles.
In addition to the morning departure, British Airways operates two evening flights to LHR from IAD: the first, BA216, departs at 6:45 p.m. and arrives at 7:15 a.m. the following morning; the second flight, BA222, departs at 10:25 p.m. and arrives the next day at 10:55 a.m.
The two westbound flights to Dulles, BA217 and BA223, leave at 8:55 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. and arrive at 12 noon and 4:55 p.m. respectively.
The three daily round trip flights restores the British Airways Dulles/Heathrow schedule to last Summer's pre-Sept. 11 frequencies. The airline also operates a daily non-stop round trip service between BWI and London Heathrow.
