In Finnair's short-haul traffic within Finland, the Nordic countries and the Baltic area as well as on flights to Poland and St. Petersburg, coffee, tea and juice will be served. This service will be supplemented with a diverse range of snacks for sale.

AY offer a large selection of beverages in Economy Class on all flights to China, Japan, South Korea and India. Soft drinks, juices, water, beer, and white and red wine are served free of charge – other alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

On flights to New York and Bangkok, AY serve non-alcoholic drinks, beer, and white and red wine free of charge with meals. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at all other times.
On our international flights you can order a special meal for health or religious reasons. Special dietary needs are considered both in the ingredient selection and preparation of the meal.
European flights
finnair Business Class passengers on our European flights depends on the flight time and time of day. The meal is complemented with a diverse selection of quality beverages.

On longer European flights finnair serve a substantial hot or cold deli food for Economy Class passengers. On shorter flights to and from the Scandinavian and Baltic countries, Poland and St. Petersburg we serve coffee, tea or juice. We also offer a wide variety of snacks for purchase on our European flights, flight time permitting. For Economy Class passengers, soft drinks, juice and water are served free of charge. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

Finnair Helsinki lounge saunas Spa service

The Via Spa and Via Lounge are located in the end section of the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport terminal extension between gates 36 and 37. The stylish Via Lounge has room for around 250 customers and its services include six private shower rooms, a diverse buffet, a Via Bar and various relaxation areas with top-notch Samsung LEDTVs. The spa will contain four separate saunas, treatment rooms for ‘express’ treatments as well as those of a more leisurely nature, foot treatments of various kinds and a mineral water pool for health baths. The Finnish sauna has a view from the window – as all authentic saunas should – and in this case bathers can look out across the airport’s roll-out apron. All customers waiting for flights can use the via.lounge and via.spa. Business Class and Finnair Plus top tier cardholders can use via.lounge free of charge, and there is no charge for the spa to Platinum cardholders.
The new Via Spa area can welcome over 100 guests to its four different saunas and steam rooms, cold water treatment and mineral water baths, rest areas and wellness treatment rooms. Anyone over 18 can visit the Via Spa for a fee of 45 euros between the hours of 10 in the morning and ten at night. Finnair Plus Platinum cardholders have free access to Via Spa. You can even prepare yourself for your sauna experience with an ice spring before your take your shower. Berry-scented hair and skin care products are included in the basic price. The treatments on offer are being constantly being evolved and developed to be even more vaired, according to the German Haslauer spa concept company that devises them. The cost of treatments varies from 31 euros upwards, and there’s a 50 per cent discount on general entry to the spa area for those customers wishing to take these treatments.

The adjacent Via Lounge relaxation area is available to all customers from morning to evening at a fee of 45 euros. About 250 visitors can sit and relax in the lounge at any one time. There is also a combined ticket for Via Spa and Via Lounge access at a fee of 70 euros. In addition to the basic services on offer, there’s a new Via Bar sales point where you can buy fine champagnes and rare vintage wines by the glass and other quality drinks as recommended by expert bar staff. The Via Lounge environment is available without extra charge to Business Class passengers, and Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver customers as well as oneworld Emerald and Sapphire cardholders regardless of travel class.

Finnair Business Class passengers, Finnair Plus Platinum and Gold members, and oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members – regardless of travel class – may enjoy a light buffet free of charge before departure from Helsinki-Vantaa airport on the late evening flights from Helsinki to Bangkok AY095 and Helsinki to Hong Kong AY067(AY095 at 23:40 and AY067 at 23:45). The buffet is served in the Via Lounge from 21:00. Onboard, a lighter and quicker meal is served in order to give passengers more time to rest during the flight. The Via Buffet service is also available to other Via Lounge customers for a fee of 10 euros.

On Monday 6 April, the first aircraft with the new look, the brand new Airbus A330-300 OH-LTM, will take off for North America.
The design of the new seats also offers passengers more privacy. 90% of Business Class passengers have a direct access to an aisle, and of the 45 seats 15 have been positioned so that there are no other seats next to them. In addition, there is more storage space than before for hand luggage and clothes. These improvements are a part of Finnair's long-haul traffic fleet modernization that will also reduce emissions significantly

The new route, which will operate five times weekly, will connect customers from destinations throughout Delta's and codeshare partner Alaska Air Group's network to the Chinese capital via convenient connections at Alaska's Seattle hub.
Flights from Seattle to Beijing; Seattle to Osaka; and Beijing to Tokyo-Narita will be operated with 216-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft featuring 35 seats in BusinessElite and 181 seats in Economy. business class flat bed seats offer extra leg room, privacy, and aisle access.



Delta subsidiary Northwest Airlines will introduce nonstop Flights between Seattle and Beijing, China, effective March 1, 2009. Flights and schedules are currently available for sale to customers for travel on this route via delta.com and nwa.com. Flights will be operated with the Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
The new Seattle-Beijing route is one of two new Asian flights launching from Seattle this summer as Delta continues to position the city as a key gateway to Asia. A new nonstop flight between Seattle and Osaka, Japan launches June 7. Both flights complement existing daily service from Seattle to Delta's hub at Tokyo-Narita, which offers Seattle customers one-stop connections to 12 destinations throughout Asia.

In conjunction with the new service to Seattle, Delta also will make minor adjustments to the 8:55 a.m. departure time of its existing daily flight from Beijing to Tokyo-Narita. Beginning June 6, Delta Flight DL634 will depart Beijing at 6:55 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday; and will remain unchanged at 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
