easyjet fly to amman from London Gatwick

easyJet will launch direct flights to Amman, the capital of Jordan and one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world, three times a week from London Gatwick.
Fly to Amman with easyJet. easyJet offer cheap low cost flights from london to Amman from 27 March 2011 with a return trip tickets starting from as little as £106 (including taxes).

Airport International Group’s CEO, Curtis Grad, commented: “The introduction of easyJet to the Jordan market will further propel Amman’s phenomenal growth, which has witnessed a 40% rise in passengers and a 65% growth in weekly flights over the past three years, ranking Amman as one of the fastest growing airports in the region. With our new terminal coming online in 2012, we will be well positioned to serve the new demand stimulated by easyJet, further sustaining this strong growth trend.”

Ammans Queen Alia International Airport is situated in the Zizya area about 20 miles south of Amman.

You need an entry visa to Jordan. You can obtain single entry visas, valid for one month, on arrival at the Amman Queen Alia International Airport. A single entry visa costs 10 Jordanian Dinars.

By bus:
The Airport Express bus runs every 30 minutes between 6am and 11pm. The journey is about 45 minutes to an hour long and terminates in the centre.

  1. Well, it was about time they launch those flights from Gatwick. I am really glad to hear it! I like staying in Gatwick airport hotels , but the fact there weren't flights to Amman from there was really driving me crazy. Ragards!
